| “Rothiemurchus is one of the glories of wild Scotland” - Sir David Attenborough
Breathtaking, inspiring, exceptional .... that's Rothiemurchus, a very special Highland landscape that offers fun, challenge and adventure to all. It is so beautiful you feel good just being here.
Stretching from the River Spey to the high mountain plateau, Rothiemurchus forms one of the most treasured areas of the Cairngorms National Park. Its natural splendour of forest, loch, glen and mountain has attracted visitors for centuries.
A living Highland estate in the ownership of the Grant family since the 16th century, it is cared for today by Johnnie Grant, 14th Laird, his wife Philippa and their family.
Rothiemurchus provides a Highland welcome and experience second to none. The most fun place for families to be active or relaxed together with many activities such as walking, quad and pony trekking, fishing, clay shooting, Land Rover tours, mountain biking, wildlife watching, canoeing, archery, and sled dogs. Rothiemurchus reflects the qualities of the natural environment in the Farm Shop with Rothiemurchus tender velvety venison and mature Highland Beef as well as exceptional cheeses and home baking. Next door is a unique shopping experience for Cards and Gifts - which constantly change and evolve with the seasons.
