Alvie and Dalraddy Estate - Estate Tours
Estate Tours: General or specific tours of the Estate can be arranged lasting from an hour to all day. The tour can include visits to the working hill farm with its sheep and cattle, native pine and commercial woodlands, the fish hatchery, soft fruit farm at Alvie Gardens, the granite and slate quarries, the ancient standing stones, and a dam and water driven turbine that was once used to provide the Estate electricity. The Estates provide a wide variety of habitat from the loch side wetlands of Loch Insh and Loch Alvie through farmland and pine woodland, up through the heather clad grouse moors to the high moorland tops.In addition to traditional country sports there are opportunities to participate in many activities.
