Gorge Walking at Rothiemurchus
Want to try something completely different? How about deliberately jumping into a Highland stream and following it up hill as it cascades down rocky slabs, over small waterfalls and through pools?
This is a fantastic introduction to the joys of gorge walking and is suitable for all the family. If at any point you decide you've had enough, you can simply walk up the side of the burn and watch the excitement from the sidelines.
Gorge swimming is absolutely fantastic fun! Equipped with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets this is a more 'adventurous' version of Gorge Walking. Fight your way upstream against the flow, clambering up small waterfalls, swimming through calmer sections and jumping into deep pools. When you reach the top just turn round and float or slide back down to the start. This is a really thrilling sport and you'll have an amazing time. There is full instructor supervision at all times and believe me they will be having a great time too!
Rothiemurchus is a superb Highland Estate located just 5 minutes from Aviemore (40 mins from Inverness), at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It has an excellent reputation and is regarded by many as one of the finest outdoor recreation centres in the North of Scotland.
