CairnGorm Mountain is Britain's 6th highest and your gateway to an ancient glacial landscape. No matter what the weather, the mountain will inspire you. The mountain railway is a safe and comfortable for visitors of all ages and ability to enjoy a journey that takes you 1097m above sea level to experience the impact of altitude on weather, the landscape and you! As well as the train enjoy the mountain exhibition, wild garden, self guided trails and hopefully - whichever way you choose to explore this mountain landscape it will reward you with its views, weather, flora and fauna.

Special Features:
The land at the top of the railway and all around the ski area is very fragile and protected by law. We operate a system to help manage human impact on this landscape which means there is no access onto the mountain if you travel up by train in the non skiing months. It is however possible to walk up from car park level and enter the Top Station and return using the train. Visitors are also free to explore using any of the trails which start at car park level.
