At our family run centre, we specialise in the versatile pedigree Highland Pony breed and offer fantastic hacking and trekking.

Riding on Rothiemurchus is an incredibly special experience and our friendly and skilled guides make this a superb experience. With varied hill, moorland, river and pine forest riding, much of it off track, there is the potential to see wildlife and enjoy the peace, space and magnificent scenery.

Our emphasis is very much on quality; from our comfy saddles to the ponies who are all fit, well-schooled, fun and responsive rides with a lot of native pony 'sense' and wonderful temperaments. Our Highlanders range in height from 13hh to 15.2hh and are able to carry up to 16 stone comfortably, allowing us to mount most riders.

We strive to provide a riding experience for all the family, at a pace that suits your mood and level of experience, from a relaxing amble to an exhilarating canter. We offer a range of sessions, to suit all ages and experiences, please contact us for more details.

Rothiemurchus is a superb Highland Estate located just 5 minutes from Aviemore (40 mins from Inverness), at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It has an excellent reputation and is regarded by many as one of the finest outdoor recreation centres in the North of Scotland.

This fantastic place presents a unique blend of stunning landscapes, wonderful wildlife and exciting outdoor activities in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Set in breathtaking scenery stretching from the tops of the mountains to the River Spey with splendid forests, lochs, rivers, moorland and glens you can enjoy over 30 different activities. With fully qualified instructors and lots of fun to be had by all it's ideal for groups, families, couples or individuals.
