Welcome to Summer at CairnGorm Mountain w/c Friday 9th May 2008
Given the tepemperatures we have experienced earlier this week there will be no skiing this weekend. The Bank Holiday weekend was a great end to the season and the decision is to quit while we are ahead! Thanks to all for your support over this season and let's hope that 2009 offers up more of the same.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our e news survey. We had 88 responses and generally everyone who responded gave it the thumbs up with many of you wishing to continue to subscribe through the summer. Almost half of respondees forward the e news to friends. Things you would like to see included vary from a longer range weather outlook (I shall have to invest in a better crystal ball), more special offers and promotions especially from the accommodation sector and summary information on how the winter is progressing for CML. Bob's blog, new web cams, more picture links etc have all been metioned and we will have a look at how we can best address some of your requests. Our aim is to keep enews brief , relevant and useful in your decision making. Keep the feedback coming and enjoy the summer.
General Overview. The Ring Ouzel are back and the Dotterel have been spotted on the plateau. The Ptarmigan are beginning to pair and spring is definitely in the air. The Mountain Garden is beginning to bud with frog spawn in the pond and Slavka is busy renewing plant labels and planting new stock. Work continues in the Coire Cas car park on the Arts Project and the granite viewpoint of water rills is well underway. A Northern stairway is also underway leading from the car park up to the Aonach Trail. As you can see there is lots of activity so please come up and explore for yourself.
