Special Interest events in the area
For those with a special interest Aviemore and the Cairngorms is a magical place. Rare animals and birds can be spotted with a little luck. Sporting enthusiasts have on their doorstep almost everything they could hope for in terms of adventure and adrenaline. In August there is 'Thunder in the Glens' with the annual Harley Davidson ralley. Carrbridge hosts the world 'Porridge Making Championships', and Chainsaw Sculpture contest. There are Highland games in many of the villages over the summer, something special for everyone.
