Aviemore Countryside rangers welcome visitors to the countryside and help people discover and appreciate what’s around them. Feel free to pop into any of the ranger bases.

Rangers in Aviemore and the surrounding Cairngorms National Park run Events throughout the year such as guided walks and wildlife watching. There are also many commercial operators that run land rover safaris, wildlife watching days and events. Rothiemurchus Estate has the longest established private estate Ranger service in Scotland and are there to help you enjoy, care for and learn about Rothiemurchus and the Cairngorms National Park. 

The Cairngorm Mountain Ranger Service is a small team operating from the Ranger Base at the car park at the Cairngorm Ski Area. The Ranger Service organises and carries out work on mountain paths radiating from the car park and leads guided walks in summer. Two rangers are based at the Glenmore Forestry Commission Visitor Centre where there is free admission to interpretation about the local forest.
