‘Good things brewing in the Highlands of Scotland’

The Cairngorm Brewery at the north end of Aviemore brew traditional ales with a fresh new edge by using well established brewing methods, the finest malted and roast barley, hops and crystal clear mountain water. You can visit the Cairngorm Brewery shop at Dalfaber at the North end of Aviemore and also sample their ales in many of the pubs and restaurants in the village.

You can also take a tour of the brewery. The Cairngorm Brewery has won many awards for its beers and is well known for it Black Gold, White Lady, Trade Winds, Wild Cat, Nessies, Ginger Rodent (after local politician Danny Alexander), Stag, Sheepshaggers Gold and Autumn Nuts beers. The Cairngorm Brewery now have a 20 barrel Brewhouse, capable of producing 6500 litres of the finest ale each day. They also have a full range of permanent and seasonal cask beers to suit all tastes, with many of them available throughout the year in 500ml bottles.

Close by the Dalwhinnie Distillery to the South West, Glenlivet, Tomatin and Tomintoul in the North and Royal Lochnagar in the South East of the Cairngorms National Park are all well worth a visit and a nip!
