Aviemore as well as boasting fine Scottish restaurants has a family run and very popular Italian Restaurant ‘La Taverna’ and a popular Indian Restaurant ‘The Royal Tandoori’. Get off the train and the Charcoal welcomes you on the platform, a new restaurant which opened in 2023. During busy holiday times book your table to avoid disappointment.
The Old Bridge Inn offers a roaring log fire and cheerful atmosphere along with excellent food and a fine selection of cask ales and malt whiskies. The Rowan Tree Hotel has award winning dining in a lovely setting on the edge of Loch Alvie. The Cairngorm Hotel has an extensive menu with great friendly, efficient service. The Balavoulin offer great bar meals and friendly service and the Winking Owl do tasty light bites to full bar meals. Macdonald Aviemore Resort offer a choice of dining options from the more formal to more relaxed. The Steak House at Spey Valley Golf and Country Club is a great option after a round of golf.
The Penny Bun at Badaguish – a Scottish eatery showcasing the Cairngorms larder and wild produce have recently opened and is proving very popular. The menu also features daily specials which you can enjoy whilst taking in the views of the Cairngorms.
