There is a great selection of award winning Aviemore Visitor Attractions in the village and the surrounding area. You can enjoy an entertaining day out in the Cairngorms National Park.
The attractions cover history, wildlife, conservation, leisure, arts and culture to name a few topics. Slightly further afield in the nearby villages of Carrbridge, Boat of Garten, Kincraig and Newtonmore, you can find more award winning attractions to keep the whole family amused.
The local Visitor Attractions are all within 20 minutes drive of Aviemore and include Cairngorm Mountain, Craggan Outdoors, Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, Cairngorm Brewery, the Funhouse at Hilton Coylumbridge, the Highland Wildlife Park, Highland Folk Museum, Landmark Forest Adventure Park, Rothiemurchus Estate and the Strathspey Steam Railway. Ride the funicular at Cairngorm Mountain, feed the reindeer at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, sample the Cairngorm Brewery ales, burn off some energy at the Fun House, see amazing animals at the Wildlife Park, go back in time at the Highland Folk Museum, ride a roller coaster at Landmark, take a ranger safari at Rothiemurchus and take a trip back in time on the Steam Train.
Aviemore is well placed for day trips to Blair Castle and the Atholl Estates in Blair Atholl, Balmoral Castle near Ballater, Braemar Castle and up to Loch Ness.
