Groups and Clubs in Aviemore
Aviemore is a very active outdoorsy area with many sports on offer. There are also arts and culture type activities too. The following groups and clubs operate in the Aviemore area and welcome new members to join them.

Cairngorm Runners – Come out with the Cairngorm Runners. We are a friendly club; from total beginners to those training for the biggest races around!
Cairngorm Cycling Club – Thursday evenings 6.30pm outside the shop – mountain bikes with night lights
Strathspey Rugby Club – Players of all levels and experience welcome.
Strathspey and Badenoch Welfare Football Association – summer football in the shape of league and cup fixtures.

Rothiemurchus and Aviemore Tennis Club – Rothiemurchus & Aviemore Tennis club is open to visitors during the daytime. Bookings can be made by telephone 01479 812345 or by visiting the Rothiemurchus Visitor Centre.
Cairngorm Ski Club – Founded in 1972 Cairngorm Ski Club has just celebrated its 40th Anniversary. The Club was originally formed to offer race training to young Skiers living in the Spey Valley. In the following years many of the Club’s Trainees have gone on to represent Great Britain at various levels, from the Childrens Teams right up to the Olympics.

Knitting for All – Classes in Aviemore, Grantown and Kingussie
Cairngorm Bridge Club – Meets most Tuesday evenings at St John’s Hall, Rothiemurchus
Badenoch and Strathspey Pipe Novice Juvenile Pipe Band – Practice every Monday from 7-9pm at Aviemore Highland Resort absolute beginners welcome (18 and under) and the Grade 3A band practice every Tuesday from 7.30-9.30pm Aviemore Highland Resort. firstname.lastname@example.org
